Biblical Foundation
At Old Landmark Church, we are a community of believers who understand the importance of a strong biblical foundation.
The church has become fragmented and fallen away from the teachings and commandments outlined in the New Testament.
But, not at Old Landmark Church—because the Lord was explicitly clear. Pastor John was not to compromise the Word of God—at any cost. Because of this, our biblical foundation is based on the following:
We believe the Word of God to be the only authority in all matters and assert no doctrines can be true or essential if it does not find a place in the holy scriptures.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second person in the Godhead of the trinity. Jesus was and is eternal in his person and nature as the Son of God who was with God the Father in the beginning of creation. He was born of a virgin called Mary, according to the scriptures, and became the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is now a mediator between God the Father and man.
We believe the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead of the trinity and proceeded forth from the Father. The Holy Ghost lives inside God the Father, Jesus and all born again believers.
We believe water baptism or the total immersion in water is an outward expression to the world one has already been born again and has accepted Jesus as his or her personal savior.
We believe salvation deals with the application of the work of redemption to the sinner with his or her restoration to divine favor and communion with God.
St. John 3:1-21, I Corinthians 12:13, Romans 10:1-21, I Peter 5:10-12, Jude 1:24
We also believe there will be a resurrection of the saints’ bodies in the grave at that time.
II Corinthians 5:6-11, St. John 14:1-7, Mark 13:23-27, I Corinthians 15:51-58
